Update on Callie

It's official - Callie has claimed the prize for the first broken bone among our kids. Can you find it?

She has a proximal fracture of the first metatarsal. If that means nothing to you, look at the base of the biggest long bone. Farthest bone on the right, on the left side.

Here she is with her first post-infant hospital band and her cute little soft cast.
She's been such a trooper. Taken Ahne (her elephant) with her everywhere today, but James said she did really well in the hospital too.

She slept a little on my lap right after the incident, but was at the hospital during naptime so she didn't get her usual. She's just been wanting Daddy to hold her since. So hard to have her ask for her bath and to have the cast off at bedtime, but I think she's going to be okay.

She will go in to see the orthopedist on Monday to find out if they'll need to put a hard cast on.

Overall, she's doing very well. Guess we'll have to do a little potty training refresher course in a few months! =)

It's so sad when little kids break bones! I hope she's doing okay!
