Christmas Day 2008

(There comes a time when you get tired of having to reupload pictures because they keep getting deleted as you try to clean up all the extra white space and you just have to call it good and post. That time has come!)

Trevlyn's 3rd Christmas, Landon and Callie's 1st.

We drove home to my parents' home on the 24th after James got off of work. We were pretty much loaded to the hilt, but there's nothing quite like that thrill you get when you're headed home to where the whole family is going to be. Everyone else was driving in at the same time as well or already there. Such fun! We got there around 7:00 and everyone helped us unload. It was surprisingly cold!

Christmas Day

Gorgeous! Our camera was still out in the car so I braved the cold of the morning to go out and get it and I was so glad I did! Check out these shots! You could just make out the rainbow in the clouds.

Pictures from the present opening - approximately 7:30am.

Aunt Amy and Landon.

Landon's helicopter.

Attempting to drink from Trevlyn's baby doll bottle.

Who's legs are those? you may ask...

Uncle Ray's! Callie was after him anytime he was around.

So sweet to see how excited she would get when he came in the room.

Could be a rather rude awakening when Baby Fulps arrives!

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!
Ever the studious intellectual...

Just call her Trevy Picasso!

The most memorable gift of all was given to my mom from her mom.

Check out the date on this box! (July 19, 1983.)

No, it wasn't really a Phonographic. Nor was it just an amazingly preserved box from before Cindy was born...

(We all cried.) When she was brought home from the hospital by her parents, my grandpa gave my mom's older sister, Helen, a little wooden wagon with cylindrical sticks and blocks that went on them. Amazingly enough, the entire thing is still intact. My mom loved that toy. (I know - weird. Where do the batteries go? Where are the sound effects? The cool graphics...?) Since my Aunt Helen doesn't have any grandkids yet, she has graciously loaned the toy to my mom to use with her grandkids until such time as Aunt Helen becomes a grandma.

Merry Christmas, Mom!

Other precious moments:

Trevy spent the entire day in the dress my mom made for me for my baptism in 1985. Sooo cute! (No, it doesn't fit. Grandma hiked it up and tied the sash to hold it all in place.)

So much for eating in peace! Lisa went to take a bite and Callie redirected her hand to her own mouth.
