No, that's not a typo. No "steak" involved. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stakes are groups comprised of wards determined by geographical locations and demographics - i.e. city blocks and how many members live within them. Our stake holds an annual barbecue every fall and it's that time again.
But fist a few sweet photos of our sleepy boy. He took a good nap Saturday morning to be in tip-top form for the barbecue. Alas, Callie wouldn't go with James to take Trevy to the practice for the Primary Program so i couldn't take a nap with him!
Starting to fill in his crib quite nicely!
So nice to have the Merrills in our stake! I love having family with us. With seven kids between our two families, it sure helps us spread the eyes and hands around!
The monster sandbox.
With an enormous climbing tire in the middle. Trevy was determined to do as much as she could by herself.
♫ Hail the conquering hero! ♫
Our sweet socialite found a friend. Who needs buckets and shovels?
There was plenty of food to be had. Excellent barbecue, beans and coleslaw were the main fare, followed by cotton candy... (Also very fortunate to have Auntie Bridge and Uncle Daniel in our stake as well!)
...and sno cones!
I love these expressions!
The barbecue started at 3:30. We last until about 5:30. Sleep is such uncharted territory around our house these days. I'm sure it had been at least a couple of days since Landon had had a nap.
