In honor of all the birthday celebrating going on, I think it's time for me to take the time and post about my cute little nephew, Dillon's, first birthday.
Unfortunately, his party took place shortly after it was determined that Timmy would be keeping his trach at the end of July. As this was really the only thing keeping him in the NICU, James and I took advantage of my parents' offer to take the kids with them to Dillon's party while we stayed home and got the house ready. (Oh, how naïve we were to think we could actually be ready!)
The rest of the family all met up at Ray and Amy's. Prior to heading to the water park, my parents' needed to take Belle (their/Steve's black lab) for a walk. Landon and Callie went along. It was a rainy weekend and there were plenty of puddles around. Consequently, the walking turned into more jumping and splashing.
A quick nap and it was off to Big Surf water park!
And last, but most important, the cake, ice cream and present opening!
