A BRIMHALL 2008
‘Twas the year 2008
And it started like none other –
January 30th brought to Trevlyn
A new sister and brother.
Landon came first –
A five pound, seven ounce little guy.
But now at ten and a half months
He’s no longer small fry!
Callie soon followed –
Weighing eleven ounces more.
Now 15 pounds later
They’ve learned to crawl ‘round the floor!
The joys of twin parenting
Didn’t take long to discover –
Landon’s infectious little laugh
And Callie’s the sweetest thumb sucker!
Bath time is fun
With lots of big splashing
And car rides are sweet
With baby giggles and babbling.
Trevlyn also continues
To bring laughter and joy.
She loves Disney movies
And her clothes are her toys.
A day’s not complete
Without multiple shoe swapping,
Picking out movies and puzzles
And telephone talking!
Most days she treats
Her younger siblings with care,
Other times our 2-year-old
Finds it difficult to share!
Wendy is learning
That sleep is a treat
And it’s virtually impossible
To keep the entire house neat.
She’s also been working on
Learning to sew,
Learning to blog
And respond to the word, “No.”
She still teaches in Primary
The music so fun.
She loves working with the kids –
Each and every one!
James is still working
Fixing teeth during the day
Then he loves to come home
At 6:00 to play –
Volleyball on Tuesdays
And Wednesday is scout night –
He’s still our scoutmaster
Helping merit badges come out right.
He just recently completed
His first floor tiling project
(If we never buy another fixer-upper
Neither of us will object!)
We’ve kept happy and busy
All the year through –
The kids’ favorite activities are
Swimming and the zoo!
And we still like to travel
For any reason we contrive
The only thing daunting
Is the packing for five!
We’ve looked forward to this
The end of the year season
And like to remember
The actual reason –
We celebrate Christmas
To remember the birth
When little Lord Jesus
Came to the earth
And all the blessings he gives us
Each night and each day
For being the big brother
Who showed us the way.
And now as another year
Draws to an end
We wish Merry Christmas
To you, our loved friends!
